Bare Necessities Eventing and Dressage is run by the experienced rider and trainer, Katherine Roberts. With 23 amazing years in the equestrian world, Katherine has had an incredible journey filled with passion and dedication.

Throughout her riding career, Katherine has had the privilege of working with some outstanding five-star Eventers who have taught her so much. Their guidance and expertise have shaped Katherine into the rider she is today.

Katherine's passion lies in Eventing, Dressage, and working with Off-The-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs). Currently, she is focusing on the training and development of her own two OTTB's, Serious Biz and Spitfire Frannie. She believes in nurturing the potential of these amazing horses and helping them excel through a biomechanical and soft approach.

As an insured instructor, Katherine is excited to offer lessons to beginners and amateurs who have their own horse. Located in San Tan Valley, she is more than happy to travel to your barn for lessons, providing a convenient and personalized learning experience.

In addition to lessons, Katherine also offers assistance with sale horses and provides full or part-time training services. Her goal is not only to teach riders how to ride correctly but also to instill good horsemanship skills, creating well-rounded equestrians.
